I apologise half-heartedly if you don't particularly want to see another post on fickle fashions,

but lately I've been fascinated by the prevalence of these:

Flatforms.

If you haven't figured, flat platforms.

A throwback from the 70's, perhaps?

Slightly ridiculous, slightly appealing.
Apparently practical. I'm skeptical....

Almost...Gothic, in a lovely way.
