Write your wish,  your hope, faire un vœu - every whim, desire, thirst, longing, hankering, prayer, hunger, dream or goal - onto small slips of paper, and into your preferred  jar.

There may be beliefs that this makes them more likely to be granted true. A collection of little pieces of paper with scrawled desires. But whatever the weather - granted or not - I think the idea of it just a little bit lovely, the notion incredibly pretty, and would look mighty fine on one's shelf.
This could be your form of a bucket list, a much grander way to record one.

And even if the motivation ceases and all you've done is decorated one,
- at least you have a damn-good looking jar.
. . . . . . .

Sadie's marvellous clip.

This really is the sweetest idea, one of my friends made a "memory jar" for our friends birthday, getting each friend to write a happy memory about them together and put it in the jar :)

I love this. I might do it with the pieces of paper cut into stars so I have a little jar of stars on my shelf :)
