I love getting up early in the morning. I love seeing the day for a few more hours than people in the world usually would - watching new, fresh light fill the morning. In summer here, the mornings are a beautiful temperature, and if you're lucky - a gorgeous wind gently awakes you.
And I know its not for everyone - but I encourage you bed heads for one morning soon to get up just before the sunrise and perceive this loveliness. (please? And I would love to hear your experience of it!)

I got up at 5.30 this morning, mostly for the same reasons! Only the sun was already up by the time I got up :( but that just meant that I got to get even more sunshine into my day :D

I think I'm an insomniac, so I get up about two hours earlier than everyone else. Now that it's winter, it's pretty dark outside, so I just lay in bed and enjoy the silence.
I love how you find these little things and make them more lovely in your blog. It really makes me optimistic about my day.
It's funny this is your latest post, just today I was convinced by my lecturer to start my day that little bit earlier and get out and about before starting my day...It's obviously a sign...
I would loove to do that too..!
I wake up every school morning between 5 and 5:30, and every day, whether looking outside my window, in the car, on the bus or -heaven forbid- across the school fields, I see the dawn. And it is marvelous - in its understated, humble way.
